Teeth Whitening
We use a Laser. The gel is activated by the light source this allows the hydrogen peroxide to decompose and penetrate the enamel.
All the products used and the procedure performed have been passed by the European commission& scientific committee on consumer products which makes the Teeth Whitening procedure 100 % Legal & safe

Teeth whitening can whiten your teeth up to 5-10 shades. A one hour
whitening treatment and can guarantee the results whatever your age. Our
whitening system uses the latest innovative products that will get more
staining from the teeth and therefore the results tend to last longer.
The entire procedure is very simple! No drills, no injections and no damage to the enamel of your teeth.
Results can last 12-18 months depending on diet, lifestyle
and oral hygiene.
Will Teeth Whitening Hurt The Soft
Tissue, (Gums)?
People with periodontal disease, (gum disease), or excessive
caries, (cavities), should be treated for these conditions prior to using any
form of teeth whitening products, or services. The active ingredient in the gel
itself is safe, but if prolonged sensitivity to the soft tissue, (gums), does
occur for more than 24-48 hours, it typically flags an existing problem not
normally associated with the whitening product itself but rather with the
dental or oral hygiene of the person using the product. In such cases the
client should consult their dentist.
Are There Any Side Effects:
A small percentage of users experience increased sensitivity to hot and cold, or minor gum irritations. These symptoms usually subside within 24-48 hours after the whitening process.
The whitening products and services will not whiten crowns, veneers, bridges, fillings. However, they will clean them to their original colour. Nevertheless, it must be noted, that the users own teeth may become whiter than the colour of their veneers, crowns, bridges, fillings and these may need replacing.
How Long Will The Results Last?
This depends on the system that is used. The "laser" procedure will stay noticeably whiter for 12 - 18 months, however, periodic touch-ups, one ten minute "laser" treatment, usually every 6 - 12 months, should be performed to keep the smile at its brightest. Nevertheless, each clients' unique combination of age, diet, tooth structure, together with their oral hygiene, will influence the long term results. The results of Home Kits and U.V. Activated Kits, depends on the system and frequency that it is used.
Who Can Benefit From Teeth
Whitening?
Almost anyone over the age of 16, who have their own natural teeth, wishing a more confident vibrant smile. However, for those that are pregnant, or nursing mothers, you should contact your doctor before using any teeth whitening products.
Why Do Teeth Get Dark?
There are many causes. The most common include genetics,
aging, consumption of staining substances (smoking, coffee, tea, colas),
tetracycline (antibiotic) staining, excessive fluoride, and old fillings.
Whitening toothpaste can remove stain that is on the outside of the teeth. This
is called extrinsic staining, (external staining). However, whitening
toothpaste will not change the colour or intrinsic staining, (internal
staining), of the teeth. That is why teeth whitening is so popular.
Here's How Teeth Whitening Works
A whitening gel is placed over your teeth. As the active ingredient in the whitening gel is broken down, molecular oxygen enters the enamel and bleaches the coloured substances. The structure of the tooth is not changed; only the tooth colour is made lighter and whiter. Fillings, Crowns, and Bonding will not lighten.
What is the difference between laser
whitening and home kits?
Laser treatment is carried out by a fully trained
Smile Therapist applying a Hydrogen Peroxide solution on your teeth. Once this
solution is on, the laser light is placed over your smile region to speed up
the chemical reaction of the Hydrogen Peroxide.
Teeth whitening utilising at-home tray based teeth whitening products utilise a tray that is filled with whitening gel containing carbamide peroxide and then placed on and slipped over the teeth. The bleaching tray is then worn for multiple hours per day (or else overnight), for some weeks, while the effects of the teeth whitening process take place. The results are gradual and no staining product should be consumed throughout the treatment process.
How can you do
it cheaper than the dentist?
Different people have different levels of staining, every
individual is unique. What we have identified is that not everybody requires
the full treatment, which normally consists of four ten-minute applications.
People with reasonably white teeth may only require one or two ten-minute
applications to bring their teeth to their optimum whiteness. We also recognise
that people want to achieve instant results and with the laser teeth whitening
system, this is what you get!
How often would I need to repeat the
process?
This depends on how well you maintain it and what you
consume. We normally advise that results will last up to 2 years, however, for
smokers, coffee drinkers, etc, this may reduce this to 12-18 months. Nevertheless,
a one ten minute application will bring the whiteness back.
Do I need to do anything before my
appointment?
It is advisable that you have had a scale and polish at
least within the last 6 months, preferably within the last 4 weeks. Any consume
any coloured food drink prior to treatment as you will need a neutral diet for
the next 24-72hours.
It is also recommended that you have had a dental
examination by your own dentist within the last 12 months. Please stick to a
white diet for 24-72 hours after treatment email or call for more information.
